In Jacksonville, FL, in 1935, Asa Phillips started a company called Auto Ventshade®. This new company was built around the Ventshade®, an innovative device which mounted above car windows letting fresh air in while keeping out rain and wind with the window open. The Ventshade® was originally offered in metal only.
